I think you could be related to my Lemmon family, but I am not absolutely sure:William Lemmmon (b.17 September 1842
BedfordCo., Pennsylvania) married 18 May 1871 in Cass County, Indiana to Mary E. Redd (1837-1910), died 11 September 1927, Cass County, Indiana.
William and Mary Redd Lemmon had three children:William Redd Lemmon (1872-1941)[my great grandfather], John A. Lemmon (no dates, but died before 1927, and Neta Lemmon (no dates, but died before 1927). She married G.C. Albright and had one daughter, Jean, who was living in East Ely, Nevada in 1927.
Now to your Delano, CA request. In William Lemmon's will he mentioned his grandson, Russell Lemmon, in Delano, CA.I also know from my grandmother that William Lemmon traveled often to CA, and his will was written in Orange County, CA.I also know that my great grandfather, William Redd Lemmon was sent to military school in Kansas (from Indiana) and that he owned land there (as well as Indiana) after he was married. My great aunt was born in Salinas, Kansas, while they were out there once attending to his property.
I think there is a very strong chance that the William Russell Lemmon you mention is a grandson of William Lemmon (1842-1927), son of Russell Lemmon, son of John A. Lemmon. There is of course, the Delano, CA and Kansas connection as well.Since I do not have any information on John A. Lemmon, except the first name of his wife, I have nothing more to tie too.
If you think this is your family, I can take William Lemmon back one more generation.
