I realized after I posted my previous message that Fielding Lemmon's wife may be related to an M.N. Foley who settled in the Lorane/Siuslaw Valley area of Oregon about the same time that Fielding and his wife did. It's possible there may be a relationship. If you know more about the Foleys, please let me know.

M.N. Foley
Madison Nordyke Foley was born in Green County, Missouri on April 22, 1836. He arrived in the Siuslaw Valley in approximately 1854. Foley married Eleanor Willis on May 25, 1865, and their children were John A., Robert A., Abram M., Mattie, Winthrop, Berenice, Meville J., and Mary E. One historical account lists his occupation as a farmer and stock raiser, while another shows that he was a medical doctor. He is said to have set up his medical practice in D.B. Cartwright's house. There is no other information to confirm this supposition, however.
According to a family account sent to us by Katharine F. Smith, Madison's oldest sister, Harriet, was married to a Michael Crow, possibly a member of the Crow family for whom the community of Crow was named.
