Jason; Most of the info i have on the Lemley family is from a book by Alvah John Washington Headlee. The Title of the book is George Lemley and wife Catharine Yoho and their Desendants for two Centuries. If you are related to George and Catharine it may be possible to trace your ancestors back to them. As to the origin of the name, Proffesor Headlee stats that it is German and says that in fact in the early generations in this country they still spoke German.I would be glad to help you if i can get enough info to establish a starting place. Herb.
