SHREVEPORT, LA - Margie DeBusk died October 16, 2009. She was born December 16, 1924 at St. Peter's Mission Montana making her the baby of 10 children. She moved to her husband's home in Louisiana at the young age of 19, living first in Winnfield before making her home in Shreveport for the last 55 years. She was a homemaker but at the age of 44 went back to nursing school and got her LPN degree and began a 25-year career of service and love at Doctors Hospital where she developed lifelong friends.
She was a devout Catholic who loved her church family at Holy Rosary and continued that love and joy at St. Mary of the Pines Catholic Church. She was a Eucharistic Minister lovingly taking Jesus to those in need. She was a happy member of the Merry Elders and until recently a faithful volunteer at the VA Hospital. She was always known for her constancy, joy, warmth and humor. She loved to be with people, celebrating life with food and laughter. She was the epitome of a good time. She lived her love for Jesus through the service of others; faithfulness to family and friends each and every minute of her life.
