Hello! My great grandfather, Arsene(Sam) LeMire had a brother Henry b.1850 in NY (could this be your Henry father of Eugene?), as well as a brother Eugine b. abt 1858 in Canada(perhaps your grandfather's uncle?). It was a large family with around 15 children. I have most, if not all of their names, parents, etc. if this sounds like a match with your family.
At least 2 of Arsene's sons homesteaded in the Ray area (Theodore and Louger), as well as a Henry and a William who I think may have been one of Henry's sons? I had the wife's name for Henry down as possibly Annie and his death date as in 1935, but no info on his children.
Louger was my grandfather and did not stay in Ray but returned to live and farm in Minnesota. Ted remained in the Ray area. Does this sound like a family connection to you? I've always wondered if and how the Henry and William that settled in Ray around the same time as my ancestors were related but assumed that they must be.
Carol
