Julie, I hope your son is doing better these days. At the top of this posting, you say it is in regards to Alexis b. 1783 in Montreal. Linda (one you are in contact with also) and I are trying to trace an Alexis since we can't go past an Alexander that we have and feel that this Alexis may be his father. We are grasping at straws but our Alexander was born in Ont. in 1812 so we thought that his father might be in the war of 1812. When we checked this out, we found Alexis in the 104 Regiment of Foot, pension awarded Dec. 13, 1826 and it states his residence as Montreal. But we have not been able to find out anything else so we are unable to connect him to our Alexander. Could this Alexis be the father of Alexander? I hope this is all readable as my brain still feels fried from my trip. I also feel that I somehow answered a Lemery posting under the Brown name. I am really messed this morning. Oh well, it can only get better, right? Patricia
