I have had my DNA testing done (female line) with Marguerite Lemay being the furthest female ancestor whose name I know. She was born, according to her daughter's marriage record in Canada. My mtDNA testing shows it is aboriginal and I am researching the Ojibwe families in the Algoma and Sault Ste. Marie area (both in Ontario and Michigan)in hope of finding some links.

My Great grandmother Mary Lemay was Margeurite's daughter. Mary was born in 1873 and married John Barton (who I am also having trouble with in getting information about him before he entered Canada (he was from Iowa).
I would love to connect with any Lemay's.

I have limited information on the following Lemays - they are most likely related as they have served as witnesses / sponsors for marriages and baptismals.
Julie Lemay m. Joseph Davieaux
Lizette Lemay m. Michael Bastonville
Margeurite Lemay m. Pierre Bissaion/Bissaillon)
Charlotte Lemay m. Antione Recollet
Nancy Lemay m. Casimir Robert (1st husband) and then Alexander Gordon
Elizabeth Lemay m. Charles Vasseur

I wouold like to share information.
