Hi, My name is Tamara Gilliland and I am looking for information on the lemay family, my grandfather's name is Walter Joseph Perrault(Paro) born Jan.2,1899 in Troy,NH, his parents are Thomas J Paro and Maria Heberts married Sept.20,1889 in Troy,NH. I have been informed that my GG grandfather changed his last name to Paro from Lemay. I do not have his name and I have been going in circles with all the name changes this family has had. If anyone has any information, I would be truly greatful. My father told me that somewhere down the line they came to america to avoid a war and changed their name, but wasn't sure. I also heard that there was a fire in a court house and a lot of records were destroyed. Please anyone let me know if you have any information.
