rick, i have no idea! i'm not even sure her married name was lemasters? both census(1850 & 1860)the spelling of this last name looks different, i think she could have been an emerson,emmerson,emberson-maiden name (it changes with the census and books and something else)i need more coffee.because of her and her family living with and nextdoor to my jesse & jemima emerson/emberson, my line is thisjames,henry,jesse, jesse,james m., oliver,claud,claud leon (me) kathy & my daughter kristen emerson so my emerson's started in n.c. 1740 or so, s.c.,ga,ar.(for a short time),and ok.now. i have nothing on the lemasters because i'm not real sure that it is even jane's married name.if you have access to these census in n.c. could/would you look at their name of lemasters and give me your thought's on what it looks like? if you don't i could e-mail copies to you,if you have the time and all. thank you kathy emerson,thompson in tulsa,ok.
