Cathy:

You're correct. I should not be calling anyone a "nut" or any other name on here. I was out of order with respect to that comment and I apologise.

And if you're drawn to your Irish side, then good on you. I'm a mixture, too: 1/4 French, 1/4 English, 3/8 German, 1/8 Dutch. Although I have more German blood than anything else, I don't really know anything about my German roots. Same goes for my English side. I've tried to trace both but only come to dead ends ... However, I know who all my French ancestors are for the past 400 years and because of this I feel more drawn to my French side.

Additionally, I have no problem with people who have some North American Indian ancestry and feel drawn to that particular side. The problem with me arises when individuals choose to ignore the historical and now scientific proof about the European origins of Acadian settlers and insist that there must be a "racist" agenda behind it all.

Such is the case with "Gray Wolf." From what I've read of his posts he claims to have been, and I quote, "battling" with Stephen White and his department at Moncton University for their refusal to acknowledge the Lejeune family (and others) as being of Indian ancestry.

Here's how I see it: On the one hand we have Stephen White, a highly-educated man of high regard who has dedicated the past 40 years of his life to researching and publishing facts on Acadian ancestry. A researcher who is so dedicated to finding the truth -- no matter what that truth is -- that after completing "Dictionnaire généalogique des familles acadiennes" and having it ready for publication in 1978, he waited 21 years so he could make revisions and further his research, as to get it spot-on perfect. Mr White bases all of his conclusions on exhaustive research and on documented evidence. He never makes guesses. DNA science has now proved Mr White to be correct to not assume that the Lejeunes are Native American.

Then on the other hand we have a man who calls himself "Gray Wolf" whose only agenda seems to be trying to discredit Mr White.
