Ripley County, Indiana Leisters

I'm looking for information on a David and Mary Leister who lived in Otter Creek area of Ripley County Indiana in the 1860's and 1870's. On census records they are listed as being born in Kentucky.

About 1865-6, they took in an orphan named William Isaac Hager. He would have been 8 or 9 at the time they took him in. He was living with them on the 1870 census. I'm trying to find out if Isaac was related to them in some way through the Hager's or the Hutson's (his maternal family). All his other siblings except one went to Hutson relatives. One sister went to live with a family named Shubert, relationship to family unclear. The Hagers came to Ripley County from Wurtemberg Germany around 1849 and settled near Holton in the Otter Creek area.
