There was a John Yeager on the 1790 census in Northumberland Co, PA - he might be the same as Mary Elizabeth's 2nd husband. Perhaps the Yeager family traveled to Ohio with the Leist and Yotter families.
I don't know anything about the sons of Mattias Schoch. He died in 1812, so maybe his sons inherited money, including the funds left for Benjamin Yotter's three children. Interesting - I'd love to see a copy of that document and/or the transcription. If possible, please send it to me.
Elizabeth Yotter (1802-1880) had a son, Enos Reed, who wrote many letters about his early life and about his parents. He never mentioned anything about his mother's birth father, Benjamin Yotter, nor about any inheritance she might have received.
