Hi Nathan
Sorry I have been so long in replying to your message but time really gets away and I have been here there and everywhere this year.
I have a copy of a letter perhaps it was your father or another relative who wrote to my father some years ago regarding the Day family.
My Dad was Arthur Brown he lived in Tenterfield until his death in 2003. Prior to that he lived in Watson's Bay in Sydney.
I now live in Tenterfield.
I have interestingly enough by accident found there was a mine just out of Wallangarra/Stanthorpe which is called the "Leis Mine" as yet I haven't found any information regarding it but intend to try to find it's exact location and follow up there.
My Grandmother was Emma Caroline Brown(Leis) her mother was Emma and father Francis.
I believe I was given my name, Barbaraon a request from my grandmother following Rosina Barbara Leis/Hermann.
A little of the information you posted I knew but thank you for what I have learned from your message.
Anyway when I find any info regarding the mine I will keep you informed.
If you are anywhere near or are passing Tenterfield at any time it would be nice to meet you and have a chat.
Regards
Barbara Wyman(Brown)
