There are other Hicks (Hix) connected to the Leigh and Bugg families in Mecklenburg and Lunnenburg Counties. There is an Amos from whom Walter Sr. bought land in 1758, a Nathaniel who may have been the son or brother of Amos. Amos Hix (the same as above or his son) was appointed gaurdian for Walter,Jr. after his father's death. Maybe Samuel is his son. James Hix was appointed guardian for Walter Jr's brother, Edmund.
