Parchment : 1 sheet 43cm x 64 cm with 2 wax seals, 2 signatures and revenue stamp. (The seal of James Musgrave is exceptionally good).

The Rev James MUSGRAVE of Chinnor, Oxfordshire. Doctor of Law.
The Rev Thomas LEIGH of Harden, Oxfordshire, Clerk.
Edward CHURCH of Hinton Waldrush, Berkshire. Yeoman.

SUBJECT
This is the first part of a contract of sale by Lease and Release in which James Musgrave and Thomas Leigh are selling property in Longworth, Berkshire, to Edward Church.

The property consists of a cottage with several closes of land called Hempcroft (6 acres), The West Hamm by Cow Lane (3 acres), Coppice Close and Cow Lane Close (1 acre).

(Note that Longworth and Hinton Waldrush (= Hinton Waldrist ?) are now in Oxfordshire).
