Interested in any information on Pierre & Elisa Leidner who immigrated to New Orleans, LA in December 1845 with 4 children
Jacob (9), Magdelena (4) , Christian (2) and Pierre (2 mos).
The sailed from Le Havre, France. Pierre Leidner was from Baden, Germany and was a farmer. Family stayed in New Orleans. Jacob married Catherine Rauch and had 3 children, Louise, Emily and Robert. Jacob and Christian fought for the Confederacy in the Civil War. 1860 Census shows Elisa (Eliza) with the children living in New Orleans & place of birth for all shown as France.
