Hi Margot,
Wow, you got better info than I have on the 13 children
of Bartholomew Riblet and Catherine Livengood Riblet. The
present Livengoods were from Kittanning, Pa. (Armstrong County), but unfortunately, Candy Livengood, the link, died at age 50 about 10 or more years ago.She was descended from George Leibenguth, brother of our Catherine.
Did you have that Peter and Reuben were twins? The 10th child, Abraham, married Katherine Long and they had 10
children, the last one being David Riblet 1813-1863.Since
Abraham died 1812, Catherine must have been a widow when David was born...how sad. There was a story about a tree falling on either Bartholomew or Abraham.
David married twice, the 2nd wife being Julia Ann Reighard...their 3rd child was Caroline 1849-1931.She was born in Conemaugh, Pa., Cambria County and David and Julia
lived and died there.Caroline was my g. g. grandmother.
I don't know anything about Erie other than the Millcreek Cemetery being the final resting place of Bartholomew and Catherine and she moved to Erie to be close to Mary Ann and John Zuck.
The only other thing I have about Philip and Maria Margaretha Leibenguth are their children were Maria Catherina (our Catherine) b. 1734, Christina Margaretha b. 1736, Johan "George" b.1740, & Christian b. 1744.
Philip arrived in PhiladelphiaSeptember 24, 1737 on the ship "Saint Andrew" which departed from Rotterdam & John
Stedman was shipmaster.(Pennsylvania Archives, 2nd series,
vol. 17, page 138.)In 1741 Philip signed a petition for a minister for the Macungie Reformed Church.I also found at Egypt Reformed KB Church, Lehigh County, Pa.; Barthol Riebelet and wife Maria Catherina had baptism of Johannes November 7, 1756; sponsors were Johannes Turn & Christina
Margaretha Leibeguh.Incidentally, I think you can find the Egypt Reformed Church on Cyndi's List.I don't know what KB stands for.
I guess that's it for now.If I come up with anything else, I'll let you know.
