It's probably just coincidence, but I have a Frederick Carl LEHMS that I have had no luck at all finding anything on. He was my great-grandfather. I have his christening record, transcribed online on my site at http://freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.com/~ludlow58/
I have had no luck what-so-ever trying to find information on his first wife, my great-grandmother, the name on her headstone reads Louise. I don't know that there would be a connection to Canada, but I don't know that there wouldn't be either since no one knows where he was from originally. He was cristened in TX, his parents, who are named on the christening record, are from Prussia. I just this weekend discovered that he had a brother named William and two sisters, whose married names were Kirchhoff and McQuillian.
