I've been searching for several years for the parents of my Hermann Edward Lehmann who is found in 1833 in New Orleans and was a musician there until 1866. His birth date is 1805 and was born in Berlin, Prussia.
I think that he must have been in New York before New Orleans and could have immigrated with his parents there. Is anyone else studying Lehmanns found that early in New York?
