I am searching for information on my great-great-grandparents Willelm Topfer (Toepfer) and Amalie Roselt). There may have been a connection with Ernst Lehmann and his wife as they witnessed the baptism of Wilhelm and Amalie's children in Iowa in the 1870's.
I believe Wilhelm was born in Neiderrofsla, Germany and Amalie was born in Thirvigen, Germany. I believe they came to Alberta, Canada via USA. They may have had the following children: Louis Franz (1847), Transgoth, August, Emile, Thekla, Paul, and Robert. They may have been in Kansas at one time.
Louis, my great grandfather, married Bertha ??, and had the following children: Louis (who went back to Kansas), Bertha (m. Ray Toepfer no relation), Mary (m. Jack Sim), Hattie (m. Janetsky), Paul (m. Elsie Scott), and Ella (A. G. Ditto).
I am without information before this and would appreciate ANY information that would help.
