Hello Nona,
George Elkner (born April 30, 1874 - died May 1964) is my first cousin three time removed. He is the son of Adolf Elkner and Minna Wannemacher. Minna Wannemacher in turn is a daughter of Adam Wannemacher and Philippina Held who are my 3rd Great Grandparents, so all Elkner descendants of Adolf and Minna are Wannemacher and Held related cousins of mine.
By any chance would your grandmother recall what may of become of George Elkner's son William Elkner (born June 12, 1904)? as I do not have a date or place of death for him.
