Thank you for your response, I am feeling a bit depressed that I get get anywhere and yet I know there is mroe out there.
I have just recently started the genealogy thing and not real familiar with ityet,, by the time I am done, well I should be almost a pro, LOL.So any help I get well, will be a big help to me.
Yes, my grgrgrandmother would/was Carloine Koch, she married Johann A Lehmann, I am not sure where to look or how to get into the german databases. But they all fit, I knew there was a connection between Pam and I.We feel like relation we communicate so much, Her and I have been communitcating for some time now but haven't been able to figure out the connection, they kept changing, or dropping names real fast. Why they did that I am not sure.
Any other info you run across please let me know I will try to put into place the info you have just given me,, I have not been able to get past Joahnn A Lehmann and his wife CAroline Koch,
also on the other side of my family is Martin Metzdorf and hiswife Amalia Rottenburg, can't get past them either, I did find one Martin Metzdorf in Chicago(Cook Coutny) but it can't be my grgr grandfather, cause my gr grandmother (his daughter Augusta(e)whom married August (Robert ) Lehmann in 1873, was born in 1850 and this one was born in 1877, so either the date is wrong or it is the wrong family but everything else matches,.
But by going through different sites and even some court records that I can get a hold of not always are the dates right, but Augutsa was born in 1850 as well as August (Robert)Lehmann, Sometimes I walk away more frustrated than when I started.
Thank you for your response and info, I really appreciate it.
