Hi,
I have no idea if my Lehmans connect to yours, but it seems as if they may be from Alsace.

Peter and Theresa Lehman immigrated to Akron, Ohio in the early 1850s from either Germany or France (depending on which census you
look at) with at least one of their children, Joseph. They helped found the German Catholic church, St. Bernard's, in Akron, and had more
children, including Frank, Louis, Mary and Theresa. In the cemetery there is also a Nicholas, but his date of birth is unreadable.

The naming pattern seems similar to yours, with Joseph and Louis. Please see the census record of this family on my web site:

I would love to get my Lehmans across the ocean!

Sincerely,
Karla
