I just ran across your inquiry today while doing some reasearch on my family history.
I believe the "Ernest Legge" you are looking for is likely the Ernest Legge who was married to my great aunt, Helen Granger.Helen was my father's mother's sister.
Mr. Legge (we called him "Uncle Ernest") died when I was only about 8 years old and I only have a vague recollection of him.I do know his birthday was Feb 29, owing to the uniqueness of that.
He had a son (Ernest, Junior who died in 2005) and a daughter, Mary Lou (McNulty), who still lives in Melbourne, Florida which is where Uncle Ernest and Aunt Helen lived from about the mid 1930's until they died.My father's family lived nearby in Eau Gallie (now a part of Melbourne).
I do seem to recall that the Legge's moved to Melbourne from the Chigago area.
I have more info and a nice photo of Uncle Ernest as he looked when he was elderly.
Communicate on this board ifyou are interested.
