Martha,
I am not a Leftwich descendant, either. I am an Engledow descendant. I am working on all the children of William and Elizabeth Engledow, of Wythe County, Virginia, of which Mary "Polly" Engledow is a daughter. I descend from her brother, John Engledow.
I have found much descendant information for Isaac Leftwich, however, I've never been able to find his parentage in any records to date.
I've seen the Leftwich-Turner book information on this family, but there was no mention of Isaac's connection to the Leftwich tree. I have not been able to find anyone who knows anything about the generation before Isaac. He just appears!
If I ever find this information, I will post it to you for the Association. Likewise, if you're able to find his parentage, I would appreciate a post.
