Thank you for the beautiful post concerning Greenwood LeFlore. Can you tell me where I can find the link to my Greatgrandmother Louisa LeFlore, granddaughter of Thomas LeFlore, district chief and kinsman of Greenwood LeFlore of Mississippi.
Louisa LeFlore m. 1855 Wilson Nathaniel Jones, youngest son of Captain Nathaniel Jones and a French-Choctaw mother, ? Battiest in Mississippi in 1827, 1828 or 1831.During the 1830's the Chocktaw nation was split, and half of the nation was moved to Southeastern Oklahoma, to live with other tribes in the Indian Territory.Young Wilson Jones and his family were among those families uprooted and moved to Oklahoma over the "Trail of Tears." in 1833.
Thanks again,
Corine
