I have a Great Great Grandfather who was listed in a roster of students stating he was a resident of Shelby County. I believe that not only was he a resident of Shelby County, he may have been born there. I haven't proven this yet, but if your Leffler clan from Shelby County, Kentucky and my clan from the same venue were related, this would confirm his birthplace. The roster dates were 1835-1836. My research shows that Shelbyville had a population of ~200 people at that time. There may be a good chance we may be searching for the same people. My Great Great Grandfather's name was Blackburn Leffler (b. 1816).
Another coincidence is that Blackburn Leffler stated that his Father was born in PA and his Mother in VA. His Daughter (my Great Grandmother) was born in Washington Township Indiana in 1864.
I would really like to exchange information with you. I have checked the "Display my e-mail address" box and hope for a reply. Thanks Antoinette.
Al
