I must confess he is a puzzlement!!! I first find him in the Washington Co. federal census year 1860 (oops just recently found them in a 1856 state census) He was at home with parents Henry Leffler and Heinrika and siblings...then in 1870 he is still at home but have a marriage date Nov. 1867 to Rebecca Harrison and in a will he states that his present wife and children were to receive all of his stuff...and 5 dollars to his son Leander W. Leffler from a former wife... He marries in 1879 to Mary Elizabeth O'Laughlin they had children some time he served in the civil war...and he died in 1896. So apparently he had a son that I can't find any thing about with a name like Leander you would think you would find him...I found a marriage for a Rebecca Leffler to a William Goble Mar 1877 but no information that indicates that it is the correct Leffler...any one have any idea where to look? This family came from Wortemburg around 1849 there youngest Samuel Leffler was born in PA. I've even wondered if there were more than one John Leffler but haven't found any other than this John Leffler
