She moved to South Dakota in all likelihood to be with her children and possibly seeking refuge. This was a time when many young men went to SD seeking their fortune in gold. I would speculate that the divorce from her 2nd husband (something almost unheard of in this period) might have motivated her to find a safer haven, and with both sons and a daughter living there, SD makes sense. Sara was my 3x great grandmother - I descend through the Brewer connection.
The only thing I've come up with for Sara's parents were a Jno (Henry) Leffler and Henrietta Regle. I came across the names long ago, so I can't remember where I found the info or how reliable it is. Still looking for the immigration info on the family.
I'd be interested in hearing what you've learned about Sara's siblings.
