One has to be careful since there are about 4 different lines of Lefebvre that came from France and established themselves in different areas in the 17th century. Of those, there was one in Quebec city, another in Trois-Rivieres and another in Montreal (Lefebvre dit St-Jean). I am slowly getting more familiar with the latter who had descendants moving to the Western part of the Quebec province (Vaudreuil-Soulanges county)in the early 19th century. Rigaud is in that area but LaPrairie is not. I don't mean to say it is not in the same lineage but one can't say it is unless one has the facts.
