I am searching for descendants of my great-great aunt, Martha Maturen, who married Moses LeFebvre in Saginaw, MI in about 1860. Both were from Canada. They had ten children, including sons Edward, Andrew and Albert, and daughters Mary (May), Maud and Blanche. The three sons above worked in the logging industry in Grand Rapids, Minnesota in the early 1900's. Edward died there in the late 1950's; Andrew moved to Chicago and died there in the 1940's (he had a son Warren and a daughter Virginia), and Albert moved to Oregon after a failed marriage in Minnesota. Martha and Moses moved from Saginaw to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan, and Moses died there in 1898. Martha appears to have spent some time after his death in Minnesota, then moved on to Oregon with some of her daughters and a younger son named Amme. Martha died in Portland, Oregon about 1946, age 103. If anyone is descended from or has further information about this family, please contact me. Other apparent members of the family in the same time period (not children of Moses and Martha) were John LeFebvre of Grand Rapids, Minnesota, who also later moved to Oregon, and Father Edward Le Febvre, the founding pastor of SS. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Saginaw, Michigan.
