Hi Judi. Re: your posting for Charles and Joseph LaFave in Plattsburg NY, 1860. I am trying to research Thomas Lafave, born in 1830 in Quebec. He emigrated tot he US and was in Michigan in 1857 at least. He was a stone mason, and I notice that your Charles was a brick mason. Also, Thomas named his first son Charles and first daughter Josephine. I wonder if possibly they were brothers. Any information you could share would be greatly appreciated. Regards.
