Henry County, Iowa Leepers (the Reverends Absalom and Jame Leeper)

Please help me fill in the holes. I think I know how the two large Leeper families are related, but there may be other Leepers in Henry County (and surrounding areas)that I'm missing in the 1830's to 1890's.

Absalom Leeper was one of the original settlers in Henry County, and is buried in Trenton, Iowa. I know he had a couple of sons (William A. and Dr. John)and two daughters (one of which is my ancestor). When looking at cemeteries this summer, I found the Reverend James Leeper's family in Henry County, and after much reading through this listserve (thanks to Marilynn Payson and Curt Sytsma), it appears that James is the son of Robert who is the son of Alexander, Absalom's brother. That makes James a cousin (once removed?) with Absalom. Is this correct? Their common relative is James Leeper (1719).

But are there other children, cousins, or distantly related Leepers in the area? Could those of you who are related or who have data on these lines fill me in?

I have gravesite pictures and some other info on Absalom (including his photo!) if anyone is interested.

(Meanwhile I'd sure love to get a copy of Jerry's book -- surely these relationships are also clear.)

Thanks,

Jean McPherron
