Whoops! I should have mentioned the confusion, which I succumbed to, as to which John is referred to in Margaret's will. I said it was John of Quincy Twp., but it is just as likely, if not more so, that it was the John Leeper who died in 1782 in Hamilton Twp. The date is not out of the realm of reason, in terms of him being a son of Robert, as they were a long lived bunch (Andrew was 70 when he died). It is thought that John of Hamilton was born around 1706. It is very possible, and in fact more likely, that the John of Quincy Twp. was the brother of Robert Leeper and Gawin Leeper. The use of the same names over and over does create some confusion, but it seems that the logic was that each family named sons after their father's brothers. Which is which can be a little tough sometimes.
