Barbara:

I'm afraid I don't have a great deal on this, but I know that Margaret Leeper is supposed to have re-married a McMullen and died in Lancaster County. No copy of the original, but here is the abstract:

McMULLEN, MARGARET Twp. omitted.
July 14, 1742 September 8, 1742
Children: William, John, Andrew and James.
Ex.: William Barneld and John Darleston.

John is supposed to be the John Leeper who died in Quincy Twp., Franklin County in 1748. Andrew is supposed to be the Andrew Leeper born in 1701 who is buried at the West Nottingham church in Cecil County, Maryland. James is supposed to be the James Leeper of Augusta County, Virginia. William is thought to be William McMullen.

I say "supposed" on all of this because I don't know if there is enough evidence to be absolutely certain. I believe that knowledge of this was obtained by the late Jerry D. Leeper during a trip made to Northern Ireland. Jerry always said that he had seen the will of Robert Leeper which specifically referred to James of Augusta, Co. I believe that the original of Margaret's will does the same, and thus the connection. I have wanted to obtain the originals for both for some time now. If you live near Pennsylvania you should be able to find Margarets. Roberts, I suspect, is held in some Leeper family documents at the Public Records Office of Northern Ireland in Belfast (this is just a guess on my part).

Best of luck on this and keep us posted if you find anything else.
