Hi, I too am a Robert (James) Leedham and live in Melbourne Australia. I am also interested in the family history. A cousin of mine has done extensive research of the Australian branch of the Leedhams and found that Hannah Leedham arrived in Sydney in 1821 with an infant son John but without her husband John. She was transported to the colonies from England for stealing 10 shillings and sixpence which would have been a lot of money in those days. I obviously come from a high class of convict. An American friend of mine told me that we Australians are a fine breed of people, we were chosen by the best judges in England.
It is very interesting to see my name appear in print, there can't be many of us. Regards Bob.
