I finally have found a connection that I was looking for and thought I'd share. Alice, Olive, Marie and Helen are listed on the 1910 Tuscarawas OH Census with their father Clinton A. Leech. He was born in 1858.
I then located the 1900 Tuscarawas OH Census, and Clinton A. Leech is listed with Daughters H. [Helen] Laura, A.[Alice]Mary, O[Olivia]Sarah and M[Marie]Ruth. In doing this, I discovered that his children all went by their middle names. I verified this with death records and my mother whose memory was sparked when I told her. Also living with Clinton were his sisters Gladius T age 29 and Mary L age 27, who I found out from my mom were raising the children because their mother had died of breast cancer. The two sisters remained unmarried all their life.
Then I found Clinton A and his sisters listed on the 1880 Clay Tuscarawas OH Census with their father James-44 and mother Araminta 44 and children: Gladius L-9, Ida B-10, James RS-5, John F-12, Mary L-7, Nora D-2, Olive J-15.
Then this in turn connects James Leech to John Leech-54 who was living with James-26 and Araminta-24 in the 1860 Tuscarawas OH during the census.
This appears to also be the John B Leech 44 listed in the 1850 census with wife Mary - 44 born in PA and children James - 17, John- 15, Mary E - 13 and Letitia - 11 all born in OH. Do if anyone connects let me know and we can exchange some info!!!
