Leech - Grubbs
Posted by: Carol Bogdasarian (ID *****3405) Date: November 11, 2004 at 08:23:04

In one of the Histories of Washington County,I read that a relative-descendant married into the Grubbs Family - Frank Grubbs, spouse. It was said in that write-up that Wilmer's mother was orphaned and was brought up by two ladies named Wilmer, and that is how the name came to be in the family. I have not been able to find out any more about this, but it might offer a lead to Wilmer's parents. Also, the Leech family book that I have (author unknown) says that Wilmer was one of seven children. It is such a shame that no names were mentioned in either of these sources. Hope someone out there will be able to find something.
