This week I was able to purchase an orginal document that is dated the 18th of May, 1829, advertising for sale 3 slaves
Hannibal, about 30 years od, an excellent House Servant, of good character; William, about 35 years of age, excellent Laborer, Nancy, an excellant House Servant and Nurse.
It said that the sale was to be Under The Trees.
The men belonged to Leech's Estate and to the woman as Mrs. D. Smit. Does anyone have any idea who the Leech was and the woma Smit and where the estate was located.
