Except the Myers/Napier and Lee families of Fort Myers in Lee County Florida are also related to a Neely Family. They lived in Chicago.
Most of my research comes from the book Americans of Jewish Descent by Malcolm Stern.
So I believe what your trying to say is Benjamin Lee of Virginia has no connection to CSA General Robert E Lee in any way. This is because it's well recorded that Lee County in Florida was named after CSA General Robert E Lee and Fort Myers was named after CSA Col A.C.Myers who was the head of the Allegheny Arsenal in Pittsburgh in the early 1850's.
Col Myers was an associate of General William Tecumseh Sherman before the Civil War and General Sherman knew about records and where to burn them from Atlanta to the Sea.
