I really do not know anything about this but I am also trying to write a book about an incident during WWII and I wonder if that incident might be connected to your incident.

It was the killing of actor Leslie Howard who stared in the movie Gone With the Wind. I know Hitler watched this movie over and over and he could not believe a bunch of Jews from Pittsburgh could make such a movie. Then I believe he was targeting families members who were connected to the movie actress Sally Churchill in any way.

Actress Sally Churchill, who was from Rochester NY, was Winston Churchill's daughter.

If you want to cut this off by saying your sure Lady Hawkins was not targeted because of the people on board, then so be it.

One thing for sure, Gone With the Wind was during the Civil War and there was no more of a Civil War General then Robert E Lee who had known ties to the German Royal Wilhelm Family.

There was Civil War Reeinactments in Germany between WWI and 2 and one as late as 2008 by the family of a German General who joined CSA General JEB Stuart's staff. Gen Stuart was married to Floria Cooke.

So if your name was Lee or Allan and your from anywhere near Grundy County MO, you could be a target no matter how low level you are.

I believe there was a General Allan in WWII. Hitler also didn't like the Patton family. Alot of these families had ties to the American Motion Picture Industry one way or the other which Hitler knew all about because he was a film buff.
