My interest in the Lee families of Madison & Pulaski Cos. are primarily centered around Drewry Lee. Being that he married one of the Eoff females in Madison Co., one would think he may be a brother to either William or Peter who also married Eoff females. However, from what you are saying, DNA shows different Lee families in the Madison & Pulaski Cos. My information on Drewry is from a document housed at the KY Historical Society Library, which showes Elizabeth Hedrick copied family records of L. O. Stephenson on Sept. 21, 1936. A portion of this record states: "Silas Lee b. 1800 in VA is a son of Drewry Lee and Drewry Lee is a son of James Lee." First, L.O. Stephenson was a grandaughter of Silas Lee. Second, it states that this line was of/from VA (at least Silas was born there). Third, there are NO James Lee listings for Pulaski or Madison Cos. There is a possibility there are two different Drewry/Drury Lee individuals. The one in Madison Co. marriage bond was co-signed by Thomas Lee--this Lee spelled the name Drury. The individual that lived in Pulaski Co. and who's name appeared on several documents, in Pulaski Co., was spelled Drewry Lee. Any help with sorting out Drewry/Drury Lee and his father James Lee, would greatly be appreciated. Gary, any DNA information on a Drewry/Drury line?? Notify Administrator about this message?
