As I remember,
The GW Lee letter identifies four brothers living in Buckingham Co Va in the mid 1700s. They are: Richard Henry Lee,Peter Lee,John Lee, and Evan Lee.The letter also mentions that two of Peter's sons (Thomas and Richard )marries two of Richard's daughters(Mary and Elizabeth).Richard Henry also has a son George (who is thus a brother-in-law to Thomas and Richard).

There are two Peter Lees in Madison Co Ky. Thomas has a son Peter born ca 1780 who marries Katy McGuire. The older Peter marries Margaret Eoff.

Thomas and the two Peters move on to Bedford Co Tn ca 1812. The older Peter then moves on to White Co Il. I have identified a male desendant of the older Peter, but I have not been able to get a DNA test.(I think the older Peter is Thomas's brother ,and I am sure the younger Peter is Thomas' son)

Drury Lee is a revolutionary war soldier in Sc. Greenberry Lee is a revolutionary war hero in the south.Maybe he was named for a hero.

I understand the family moved from Madison Co Ky to nearby Pulaski Co Ky because new land was being opened up for settlement.

We have DNA test results for Stephen, James, and Charles but they did not match any of the others.

An Oberdiah and Stephen Lee appear in Washington Co Va ca 1803/1804.
