The project has continued to grow, and currently has 202 members. The LEE family group appreciates each of you that have been tested.
All Lee Researchers have a stake in this project. We will continue to reach out to proven Lee lines using the DNA process in order to help identify where each of our paper trails fit.
We are expanding guest membership in the project to include individuals that have a direct line to a Lee kinship group but do not carry the last name of Lee. These individuals will be listed in the project as "Researcher of...(the appropriate Lee line)".
The purpose of this effort is to allow serious family researchers a presence in the project. What the project asks in return is that you provide your proven Lee line as many generations back as you can, and that you make a serious effort to identify and recruit living male Lee relatives to participate in the project.
Although we have many established Lee lines, we still have many tested individuals that are trying to make that connection through DNA to another part of the family. It is hoped that additional participants will identify new Lee lines.
