The Lee family of Robert E Lee was very large. It seems my connection was through his cousin Thomas Sim Lee the Catholic Governor of Maryland. This Lee family was connected to Thomas Lee the President of the Ohio company under Thomas Lords Fairfax. Thomas Fairfax's cousin William Fairfax had a daughter who married Lawrence Washington. Lawrence was George Washington's brother. When Thomas Lee died, Lawrence took over as President of the Ohio Company. George Washington's sister Betty Washington married Fielding Lewis the great uncle of Meriwether Lewis.
Part of this family, I believe, are the Gratz and Gist families of Christopher Gist. They are in turn related to Uriah Phillips Levy and his mother Rachael Phillips who are buried at Monticello. You should know the connection of Thomas Jefferson to Monticello and to Meriwether Lewis.
Christopher Gist was George Washington's guide in his early years as a surveyor for the Ohio Company. My gggggrandfather Jacob Myers was a surveyor assistant to George Washington around this same time period.
So for sure, you do have the right combo of names.
