I tried to post a reply yesterday.

My Mom's grandmother was Grace. I think she lived with Grace when she was little. She said that Grace's husband was a mining engineer and would disappear for a year at a time coming back only to get her, Grace, pregnant. Someone in the family found that Harry Robb Ledyard was living in an old folks home in Canada in the 1970s (could have been 1969) he was in his mid to late 90s. I don't think anyone traveled to see him. They remained married.

Also, I know that Russel Ledyard (Amarillo, TX) now deceased had a daughter who was a stewardess that did a great deal of research on the family tree tracing it back to Bath, England and church record dating back to the 13th or 14th century and grave stones back to the 10th century. She documented these in 35mm slides (1969-71 time-frame). She tracked the migration from England to Canada and then to the US. She wanted all the family members to back around 1970 to purchase the family home in Bath and the 5 ac. of gardens (approx. 200,000 pounds back then).
