I think it does get a little confusing because there were so many James. I read Chris's chart to say Georgia was the daughter of James who was the son of James Sr.--meaning she skipped a generation. James Sr. was born about 1750 in NC--his son Adam was born about 1775 in NC--and then his son James J. born about 1800 in GA. --Anyway, I am curious where you found the info that Georgia was known by the nickname "Beatty"-this is the first I have heard of it. I also got another birth year for her of 1824--which was on her headstone in Paris Tx. Of course, it is possible the person who copied it off her headstone read it incorrectly--or that the person whohad the headstone made was wrong--hard to know.
