FYI... According to the book Rebel Prisoners at Quebec, 1778-1783 compiled by Chris McHenry, 1981 (a compilation of prisoner returns from the Haldimand Manuscripts), James Ledger appears as follows:

(page 62)
P. 317 Return of Rebel Prisoners in the District of Montreal 24 December 1782.

These 26 men at Coteau du Lac

James Ledgerwood (plus 25 others)

(page 65)
P. 329 Return of American Prisoners forwarded from Ticonderoga to their respective States, July 18, 1783 by order of His Excellency General Haldimand.

Jas Ledgerwood - Va Kentuck - Aug 82, Blue Lick - 25 (age)

(page 74)
P. 336 Return of Rebel Prisoners In & About Montreal (undated)

Name: James Ledgerwood
When & Where Taken: 19 Aug 1782, State of Virginia

In these lists, James Ledgerwood is listed with several others who were taken at the Battle of Blue Licks.
