Frank Ledger b. Stepney, England, abt 1853 and neice Constance
Frank and his neice Constance M B Ledger, then aged 5, were living in Edmonton, Middlesex, in 1881, there being no mention of any other family members. Frank was born in Stepney about 1853.
I am pretty certain that Frank married Ada Florence Sears in the first three months of 1907, she being my great grandmother, and her second marriage. He died sometime in the 1920s, but although my father kept a diary, he did not record the date.
Ada had two sons by her first husband that I know of, one being Bertie, and the other Frederick John Heseltine, who then took the Ledger name by deedpoll.
Frederick John Ledger (previously Heseltine) married Elma Alexandra Laming in October 1907. In the 1881 census he is said to be an East India Merchant. Apart from this he remains a mystery, except that my father's diaries say he died in a sanatorium, presumably from TB, date sometime late 1920s, he thought, and there is no mention of other children.
By a similar process my father also changed his name from Ledger to Laming Macadam, but thats another story!
Can anyone please help me find this Frank and any of his family, either before or since?
Many thanks
Edwin Macadam
