My GG-GM was Katherine Ledermann, b. 3Apr1811 in Germany. One Americanization of the name is Leatherman. My Katherine married Friederick William BAUER, b. in Germany 27Aug1810. I believe they were married in Germany and migrated eventually to the New Albany, Floyd County, Indiana area, perhaps in the Layfayette TWP. Both died and are buried in Floyd County cemeteries in 1868, a couple of months apart.

Hope this helps you. I have some Citizenship Petition papers for Friederick and his son.

Let me know if this helps. Thanks, Maurice
